Marc Lizier (born 1979) is a Dutch composer of documentary and film music, sound designer and re-recordingmixer.
Lizier graduated in sound recording and sound mixing from the Netherlands Film Academy in 2002. He provided sound design en re-recording mix for over a 100 films like 'Devil's Pie', 'Strike a Pose', 'Meet the Censors', 'Kala Azar', and 'Mi Vida'.
He composed the music for Bloody Mondays & Strawberry Pies (2008), Ester Gould's documentary A Strange Love Affair with Ego (2015; Golden Calf nomination 'Best Music', winner 'Image & Sound Award for Best Dutch Documentary', IDFA 2015), How To Meet a Mermaid (2016; Golden Calf nomination 'Best Music') and Instant Dreams (2017; Golden Calf nomination 'Best Music'), among many others.
In 2019 he made his debut as a director with the documentary 'Bien Mal', premiered at the NFF Film Festival.
Lizier is a member of the EFA, DAFF, NCE and VCA.
